Update: Answers to Prayer

Greetings from Staunton, VA.  Thanks so much for your prayers during our Iasi English Club mountain retreat in Vama (22-24 March) and during the second week of class (25-29 March) in Iasi, ROMANIA.  There were 2 English lessons during the weekend and most of the 40 students who attended the retreat hiked to the top Saturday afternoon despite heavy snow on the ground.  After dinner I (Steve) shared my testimony and then we did some traditional American dances, enjoyed a bonfire & s'mores, and many played games well into the morning.  The retreat was a great time of fun and relationship building.  

Then back in Iasi, there were two-hours of class each evening plus a pizza party, walking tour of Iasi, bowling and a Moldovan / Romanian / Ukrainian / American celebration the last night during which we American teachers handed out certificates.  The highlight for me was not just the ten English lessons where we read & discussed parables & miracles of Jesus, but the spiritual conversations I had encouraging believers Larisa, Claudia, Rahella, Elias, & Madalina and sharing my story with Cristina (hotel receptionist) and students Andreea, Paula, Ana-Maria, Nicole & Bianca.  Please pray for follow-up efforts by local Americans Claire & Daniel and by CRU Staff Nicu & Lenu and Mircea & Carmen and their team of Student Volunteers (SV's).  Many of the students are open and willing to talk about GOD.

Speaking of SV's, Sorin & Teo both received their US visas following the interview at the US Embassy in Bucharest Monday morning 1 April and are planning to join us in Ocean City, MD this summer!  We all appreciate your intercession on their behalf.
